Before the ride: Sean Paul’s new label setup
On Sean Paul’s side, the song came out soon after he began releasing music through a new label partner. In December 2025 he put out “Faith We A Keep” through his Dutty Rock Productions, under exclusive license to Milk & Honey Records, a label Music Business Worldwide reported had launched that October. “Ready for the Ride” was the next single under the same arrangement. It also arrived as he started a two-week European headline tour across France, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany, according to his official release announcement.

The year also brought awards recognition. She is nominated for Female Dancehall Artist of the Year and the Dancehall Impact Award at the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards, and winners are due to be announced at the ceremony in Port of Spain on 19 September 2026 (her nominations).
