The production team
Jaxx
Kaboom Magazine identified Jaxx as Stalk Ashley’s manager, and the Jamaica Observer later named him executive producer of her debut album. The partnership goes back years: Jaxx’s name appears in the rights lines of her 2018 duet “Wasteman” with Jada Kingdom and her 2023 single “Earthquake”, according to Apple Music. On the album version of “Really Like U”, Apple credits “Jaxx & Jordan” as producer, composer and post-production engineer.
KingBnjmn
KingBnjmn is the other half of the production credit, and the only credited mixing engineer. On the album version, Apple also lists him as post-production engineer. The same Jaxx and KingBnjmn pairing produced her July 2024 single “Senseless” with Skeng and Kraff Gad, as the Observer reported, which is why the two songs sound like close relatives.
MXSSIVH
The Montego Bay producer MXSSIVH is credited with additional production in the video description, though Apple Music’s credits for the song do not list him. He went on to become one of Stalk Ashley’s key collaborators, producing their 2025 VP Records single “Therapy” on his own. See all of his work in MXSSIVH songs and producer credits and on the Stalk Ashley x MXSSIVH page.
Songwriting credits
Apple Music lists Jaxx & Jordan and Kingbnjmn as composers, and credits the lyrics to Stalk Ashley Music, her own company. Skillibeng does not have a separate songwriting line in Apple’s listing, although he performs his verses on the record. Apple also lists Jaxx & Jordan and Kingbnjmn as “music director” on the album version.
If you check the song’s Genius page (where you can also read the full lyrics), you will see a different arrangement: Genius’s community-edited credits list the producers as Stalk Ashley, MXSSIVH and BNJMN, and the writers as Jaxx and KingBnjmn. Because Genius credits are user-submitted, we treat the official video description and Apple Music’s label-supplied data as the more reliable record.
Label, distribution and Skillibeng’s clearance
- Independent release: the rights line reads Stalk Ashley Music/Zojak World Wide. The Jamaica Observer reported that the single was released through Zojak World Wide and produced by Stalk Ashley Music LLC.
- Zojak World Wide: the same company appears on the rights line of her 2023 hit “Narcissistic” with Valiant and on the full Stalky the Bratt album.
- Skillibeng: the video description notes that he appears courtesy of RCA Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. For more on the pairing, see Stalk Ashley x Skillibeng.
Single version vs album version
The song exists as a standalone single and as track eight on Stalky the Bratt. Apple Music’s album-version credits are more detailed than the single’s: they add Ron Ruff as mastering engineer and spell out the producer and post-production roles. We found no remix or alternate version in Stalk Ashley’s Apple Music catalogue as of September 2026.
Is it “Really Like U” or “Really Like You”?
The official title on streaming services is “Really Like U”. The video description and some press coverage, including Billboard, spell it “Really Like You”, so both searches lead to the same song. To understand what the song is about, read the meaning of “Really Like U”. To see where it fits in her career, read “Really Like U” and the Stalky the Bratt era.
If you like “Really Like U”, you’ll love…
- “Senseless” – Stalk Ashley, Skeng & Kraff Gad (2024): the same Jaxx and KingBnjmn production team, with a rougher edge.
