The songwriters
Both vocalists get writing credits, which fits the song’s structure: each wrote the half of the story they sing. It is billed as “Valiant & Stalk Ashley”, with Valiant listed first, and the official video is on his VEVO channel. When the two teamed up again in 2024 for “Big Vibes”, the billing was reversed.
Valiant, whose real name is Raheem Bowes, had just been named the Jamaica Observer’s Breakthrough Artiste of 2022 when the song arrived. In January 2023, DancehallMag reported that Vogue had listed him among nine musicians set to take over that year. Stalk Ashley brought the melodic Dancehall&B style she is known for. - Tevino “YGF” Richards: listed first by Apple Music and the only producer Genius credits. His “YGF” nickname is shared by YGF Records, one of the song’s executive producers.

- Jaxx: named in the video’s producer list. A “Jaxx & Jordan” credit later appears on “Big Vibes” and on “Stay With Me” with Sean Paul, both from Stalky the Bratt.
- Charles “Kraiggi BaDArt” Doran, Tarique Johnson, Jordan Suragh, Roderick A. Fray and DEEMO: credited producers on both Apple Music and the video. We found no reliable public reporting that breaks down each person’s specific role, so we have not guessed.
Mixed by Anju Blaxx
The mix engineer is one of the most established names in the credits. Anju Blaxx, real name Andrew Myrie, is a Jamaican producer. DancehallMag has called him one of dancehall’s leading producers, with past credits for Vybz Kartel, Popcaan and Alkaline. In January 2023, the same month “Narcissistic” was released as a single, he was among the credited producers on Sam Smith’s “Gimme” featuring Koffee and Jessie Reyez. He told DancehallMag he added the drums and groove to a demo, working alongside StarGate and Jimmy Napes.

The ℗ line reads 2022, matching the video’s December 2022 release. The standard single, with just the explicit version, followed on streaming services on 6 January 2023. On 3 February 2023, a “deluxe” single added a clean version (about 3:09) next to the explicit original.
