MXSSIVH (pronounced “Messiah”) is a Jamaican producer, beatmaker and occasional recording artist based in Montego Bay. His real name is Justin Junagadala. His credits include Intence’s “New Year”, Valiant and Stalk Ashley’s “Narcissistic” and his own VP Records singles “Ravin’” with Najeeriii and “Therapy” with Stalk Ashley. In May 2026 he was credited as a producer on two songs from Drake’s albums Iceman and Maid of Honour.

Who is MXSSIVH?
MXSSIVH comes from the West Gate community in St James and has built his career from Montego Bay rather than Kingston. He told the Jamaica Observer he started on piano as a small child, and later fell for the beats in trap and EDM, which pushed him toward production. He mixes and masters his own work. He first recorded as Bvsed Justin but now uses only the MXSSIVH name. DancehallMag gave his age as 25 in May 2026.
He started working internationally early. In 2019, at 18, he produced songs for the Russian rapper Kizaru that appeared on the album Karmageddon and the EP Say No Mo. He told DancehallMag that the connection started with an Instagram DM. Since then he has moved between dancehall and hip-hop, and the Observer lists placements with OT7 Quanny and Famous Dex.
The breakout: Intence’s “New Year”
The Jamaica Observer describes Intence’s “New Year” as MXSSIVH’s breakout. Intence and Zimi released the single on New Year’s Day 2021. Its streaming credits list Zimi and Messiah Beatz, the production name that also appears on MXSSIVH’s own releases, as producers.

“Ravin’” with Najeeriii (2024)
“Ravin’” came out in late 2024 through VP Records as the lead single from his planned debut album, Live Fast. The credits list MXSSIVH and Romell Clarke as producers, and the release also includes the instrumental, “Ravin Riddim”.

As of September 2026, the full Live Fast album has not been released. In May 2026, MXSSIVH told the Observer that a producer album with top local and international artists was on the way, along with his first album as an artist.
MXSSIVH and Stalk Ashley
Stalk Ashley is one of the artists MXSSIVH has worked with most. Their records together span three years:
- “Narcissistic” (2022–23), her duet with Valiant, on which MXSSIVH is one of the credited producers. More on that song is on our Valiant collaboration page.
- “Stay With Me” with Sean Paul (2024), from her debut album Stalky the Bratt, where he is a credited producer.
- “Therapy” (27 June 2025, VP Records). MXSSIVH is the sole credited producer, and the songwriting credit is split between Stalk Ashley and Justin Junagadala. The song borrows from New York’s “sexy drill” sound, and its video was directed by Ruption.

MXSSIVH and Drake: the verified connection
Many people search for “MXSSIVH Drake”, and the connection is real and documented. On 15 May 2026, Drake surprise-released three albums: Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti. MXSSIVH was credited as a producer on two songs:
- “Ran To Atlanta” by Drake featuring Future and Molly Santana, from Iceman. He shares the production credit with 9Jay, Dez Wright, Jack LoMastro, Smash David, SkipOnDaBeat, Wheezy and Southside. The Jamaica Observer reported that it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
- “New Bestie” from Maid of Honour, which includes a nod to Vybz Kartel and entered the Hot 100 at No. 72.
The placements took years of networking. MXSSIVH told the Observer he had worked with people close to Drake, travelled to Canada for Vybz Kartel’s show there, and then worked in Miami with collaborators linked to Drake’s OVO camp. He told DancehallMag the Iceman single was the biggest moment of his career: “Ran to Atlanta was my biggest breakthrough ever.” He said the credits show he can make trap as well as the dancehall he is best known for.
