It was billed as Stalk Ashley’s set. By the end of the night, it was dancehall’s favourite reunion. At Blitz — Reggae Sumfest’s all-black party on the Catherine Hall stadium grounds, July 16, 2025 — she was mid-way through a set that moved between R&B, dancehall and soul when Valiant appeared, and Caribbean National Weekly reported the energy “reached fever pitch” as the pair ran their duet “Narcissistic” together.
The song has history. Its KhingCam-directed video premiered two days before Christmas 2022 — Valiant as the remorseful cheater, Stalk Ashley as the woman who finds out and walks — and after its January 2023 release on YGF Records and Zojak World Wide, Vibe reported it topped the Jamaican charts for weeks, comparing it to a dancehall Confessions. Her verdict on the title character, delivered to Vibe, stands: “The narcissist in the song is definitely Valiant.”
The two ran it back on “Big Vibes” from Stalky the Bratt in 2024, and her post-Blitz comments to the Gleaner suggest the partnership — and her festival ambitions — are just warming up: “Eventually, I want to get to the main stage… nothing happens before its time.”
